FOOD: Boiling Crab
Food is a big part of travel. I believe it is as important to a culture to the language and the music. I want to record a bunch of different foods in the world and what an amazing place to start: LA. Los Angeles has so much amazing food it blows my mind. Aside from the fact that it's one of the only places in the world where you can get GREAT Korean food outside of Korea, it is home to an epic amount of cuisines from other cultures, especially Mexican.
I still can't get over that Fish Taco!
For my Birthday Food, I ended up going to Boiling Crab in Koreatown, and I was pleasantly surprised. You choose your type of seafood, level of spice, and sauce. Then they bring you a bag full of yummy. I recommend the whole shebang. It's all three sauces together: lemon, butter, and Cajun. Oh, here's a link to their MENU for your torture and/or enjoyment!
Like I said in the video get there early! We ended up waiting almost 2.5 hours. We just went to the cafe "Home" next door and played Jenga until it was our turn. It was worth it, but it was boring and frustrating. A lot of people even get their food "take out" and take it to cafe Home across the street to eat.
If I keep writing I will just continue to drool and hate myself for not being there now, so here's a link to YELP. No one says it better than a bunch of YELPers.
